Statement of this collection
Monroe works in oil, acrylic and watercolor on paper and canvas. Her work is an intensely coloured abstract structure with geometry colliding into expressionism. There is beauty and power, sadness and restraint in her work. She often allows various media to play off against each other to heighten this panoply of emotions.
