About artist:

Barbara Bachner lives and works in New York City and St, Petersburg, FL. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of New York University in Art History and has a Master of Fine Arts in painting from Northern Vermont University, Johnson, Vermont, with a thesis exhibition in 1999. About this collection of work:

These 3 works show an evolution from expressive gesture in color and line alone to added geometric elements that organize and control the composition. My aim is always to access the subconscious in myself as I execute the work, reaching for that of the viewer.
